2018 MWPCOA ED MAY MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP AWARDED TO SARA BROOKE RAMEY

Sara Brooke Ramey of Fulton was awarded the 2018 Ed May Memorial Scholarship for $1,000 by the Mississippi Water and Pollution Control Operators’ Association. Sara is the daughter of Russ and Dana of Fulton. Russ is a Class B water certified operator for the City of Fulton.

Sara will graduate in May, 2018 from Itawamba Agricultural High School, with a 4.0 GPA. She plans to continue her education at Itawamba Community College and pursue a career in the medical field as either a nurse, occupational therapist or pharmacist. She said she aspires to maintain her 4.0 GPA throughout her college years so that she will be accepted to the medical program she chooses.

She received numerous awards while in high school including National Honor Society, National Technical Honor Society, Chemistry Subject Area Award, and Special Honors.

Sara is involved with Itawamba Agricultural High School Band, Student Council, and Fellowship of Christian Athletes. Her hobbies are participating in band and dance, traveling, spending time with family and friends, attending church and helping with community activities.
