2015 MWPCOA ED MAY MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP AWARDED TO HANNAH MCKENZIE

Hannah McKenzie of Mendenhall (previously resided in St. Croix) was awarded the 2016 Ed May Memorial Scholarship for $1,000 by the Mississippi Water and Pollution Control Operators’ Association. David Bass presented Hannah with this award on July 15 at the Association’s 46 th Annual Conference in Vicksburg. Hannah is the daughter of Frank and Donna McKenzie of Mendenhall. Frank is a Class II Wastewater operator with United Water/Suez.

Hannah graduated in May 2015 from Magee High School with a 3.06 GPA. She is attending Copiah-Lincoln Community College, and plans to pursue a degree in Accounting from the University of Southern Mississippi. She would like to have her own accounting firm one day.

She received numerous awards while in high school including Principal’s Scholar and Honor Roll. She has maintained her 3.0 GPA at Copiah-Lincoln Community College.
